New Life for a New Ramadan

Ramadan this year to be even more special for me. Many new things that I can get. First, I was no longer alone. I have a husband. That means, if I used to be in a position as a mama's daughter who is spoiled and immature, now I just have to learn to be a good wife and mother for my children someday. Everything changed, including my daily activities. Besides obeying Allah and Rasul, I also have to obey orders beloved husband. Now, every day I have to think about what food should I cook for Iftar and Suhoor. For me, it's easy but it's hard!

The first day of Ramadan I have done well, Alhamdulillah. There is a funny thing, when I cook soup for my new family, but because I can not taste it when cooking, be it soup less salt. But my husband was still eating soup with gusto, without the slightest comment. I was very happy, my husband really understand how to respect and appreciate  his wife effort. So I tried to cook a meal for the better again. I really do not restful sleep, because I scared up late. So I set my alarm, and Alhamdulillah up quickly. As usual, I woke my husband, made him a cup of tea and turn on the television so that he was not sleepy. Meanwhile, I cook briefly.

Oh yeah, since the first day of Ramadan in the city always rain, so my husband pray at home, and we were in berjama'ah. I am very happy with this moment. It feels wonderful and peaceful once.

Actually there are a lot of new things that I got during this Ramadan, including doing "munggahan" event with a new family, do household chores with great patience, managing the household finances, vying with husband in favor, and much more.

But essentially, I always endlessly grateful to be given the opportunity to enjoy the month of Ramadan this year. In fact I even given a 2 month of Ramadan. Well you know? I mean, it happened to be my husband's name Syahruzzaky Romadloni, which means holy month of Ramadan. Ah, I am so in love with both of them. May God still brings us to the month of Ramadan next year, amen.

Many things we wanted to achieve during this Ramadan, including;
  • Change yourself for the better
  • Khatam Al-Quran at least once
  • Dawam Sunnah prayers such as the Prayer-Duha, Tahajud, Witr, etc..
  • Not perforated terawih (except my routine always snag every month)
  • Productive work in the month of Ramadan, and
  • Multiply good deeds; sedekah, dhikr, helping, ibadah, etc.

Hopefully we can all achieve. Hopefully we'll run it with passion and sincerity. And hopefully we can go through Ramadan with faith and piety, as reminded by the Prophet Muhammad. Amin yaa Rabbal 'Alamin ..
